Frustrated but confident Austria on Magnolia: They have to beat us four times

"The good this with this is that they have to beat us four times before they'll be declared as champion. Fortunately, we still have time and a lot of games to bounce back," --- San Miguel head coach Leo Austria.
San Miguel's zone defense was doing wonders in its 2018 PBA Philippine Cup playoff run.
It was doing wonders in Game 1 of the Finals against Magnolia as the Beermen took a 20-point lead in the second half.
But as San Miguel's zone started to collapse in the fourth quarter, the Beermen failed to adjust.
San Miguel ended up losing the game and is now down 0-1 in the best-of-series.
"I guess we fell in love with our defense because it gave us a lot of glory in the past few games namin," head coach Leo Austria said after the Beermen's stunning Game 1 loss.
"I was not able to react at the time when we needed to go back to man-to-man. It's my fault. I think we have to regroup and for the players not to lose their composure," he added.
Austria admits that it's frustrating to lose a Finals game, more so because of the way they dropped the series opener.
However, the three-time coach of the year is still pretty confident.
It takes four wins to win the title and Magnolia still only has one.
"In a championship game like this and after leading by 20 points, and then you end up losing the game, it's very disappointing and frustrating," Austria said.
"The good this with this is that they have to beat us four times before they'll be declared as champion. Fortunately, we still have time and a lot of games to bounce back," he added.
