NU has left no doubt about their intention for contention for the whole of 2018.

Five different Bullpups scored in double-digits as they overwhelmed JRU, 102-93, in the Finals of the 2018 Milcu Sports Basketball presented by Got Skills Premier League Hard to Guard Under-19 Tournament last March 18 at the Buddhacare Gym in Quezon City.

Cyril Gonzales, Reyland Torres, and Gerry Abadiano scored 18, 17, and 16 points, respectively, while the twin towers of Carl Tamayo and Kevin Quiambao owned the paint with a combined 25 points and 33 rebounds.

This championship adds to NU’s early haul for the year that also boasts of the 2018 National Basketball Training Center title.

The Light Bombers were paced by John Amores who had 21 points. The runner-up finish remains a step forward for the rebuilding program.

In the Under-17 division Finals, Letran dropped a 45-point hammer on San Sebastian, 81-36, behind Neil Guarino’s 16-point, 15-rebound double-double.

The Under-14 crown, meanwhile, went to Team AZUL which topped La Salle Antipolo, 76-75, and the Under-12 crown was claimed by Xavier School after edging out Makati East also, 76-75.
