Well, we have a series.

San Miguel has tied the 2018 PBA Philippine Cup Finals against Magnolia, issuing a quick answer in Game 2 Sunday after an embarassing loss in the series opener.

The three-time champion Beermen finished the job this time around, taking a big lead and holding on to it, avoiding a monumental collapse.

Now, the Finals head to a one-week break tied at one apiece and the emotions spilled during a heated Game 2 should just continue to simmer as Game 3 could prove crucial for both teams.

But before that, let's take a quick look at the numbers from Sunday before all of us continue to observe the lenten season.

6

Number of three-pointers made by Arwind Santos.

The 2013 MVP was on target all game long, nailing 50 percent of his attempts from deep with none bigger than the one he buried in the fourth quarter.

San Miguel was scoreless for the first four minutes of the final period and saw their lead cut down to seven from a high of 21. Enter Arwind who hit a booming triple from the top of the key to restore order.

24

Total points scored by Arwind Santos in Game 2, a game high.

With June Mar Fajardo limited to just 12 points, it was Arwind that took over for the Beermen, annoying the typically stout Magnolia defense for four quarters.

20

Number of bench points for San Miguel in Game 2.

The Beermen scored a grand total of one bench point in the series opener but come Game 2, the reserves came to play led by Brian Heruela who scored 10 off the pine.

Heruela didn't miss a shot in 15 minutes of play and he also had three steals.

22

Number of free throw attempts for both teams combined in Game 2.

Magnolia attempted only seven shots from the line while the Beermen were a perfect 15 out of 15 from the stripe.

21

Largest lead of the game for San Miguel.

For the second straight game, the Beermen opened up a 20-point lead on the Hotshots in the third quarter.

But unlike Game 1, San Miguel actually won this time around, setting up a crucial Game 3 on Easter Sunday.
