The additional down time due to the Holy Week only bodes well for Ross and who knows, he might actually show up 100 percent for Game 3.
Chris Ross hasn't been 100 percent healthy in San Miguel's latest playoff run.
Bothered by a thigh injury, Ross has been limited for the Beermen since the semifinals against the Beermen. But the reigning two-time PBA Philippine Cup Finals MVP is getting better by the day.
In Game 2 of the Finals Sunday, Ross dished out 10 assists in a San Miguel win.
"Actually, today is the best I felt since I hurt myself," Ross said after the Beermen's convincing 92-77 win to tie the Finals at one game each.
"I'm hurting, but it's the Finals. I told coach, I'll rest on a later date," he added.
Speaking of rest, Ross can recover more as the best-of-7 series takes a mini break in observance of the Holy Week.
The additional down time only bodes well for Ross and who knows, he might actually show up 100 percent for Game 3.
Bad news for Magnolia.
"With this week-long break, it'll help me even more," he said.
"So hopefully by Game 3, I'll be closer to 100 percent and ready to go," Ross added.
