TNT drops the boom.

Perhaps the biggest trade for the flagship MVP franchise since it acquired Kelly Williams, the KaTropa will receive Terrence Romeo from Globalport in exchange for former no. 1 pick Mo Tautuaa.

The transaction was confirmed by the PBA Tuesday.

In the deal, TNT will get Romeo and center Yousef Taha from the Batang Pier. The KaTropa will then send Tautuaa to Globalport.

Global will also have the rights to TNT's 1st round pick in 2020 as well as the KaTropa's 2nd round pick in 2021.

After dealing with injury, Romeo only played two games for Globalport this season, the last game of the elimination round as well as the quarterfinals where the Batang Pier lost to Magnolia.

Romeo clashed with head coach Pido Jarencio in that game with the Hotshots.

Terrence gives the KaTropa explosive firepower as he reunites with Gilas teammate Jayson Castro, forming a new deadly backcourt combo TNT has missed since Jimmy Alapag decided to retire the first time.

Taha gives TNT an actual presence at the 5 spot, allowing Troy Rosario and Kelly Williams to operate freely at the 4 spot.

As for Tautuaa, the Fil-Tongan center hasn't lived up to expectations as TNT's no. 1 pick in the 2015 Draft.

Mo should have no problem starting with Kelly Nabong at Global, giving him opportunity to flourish as a natural power forward.
