A shakeup in the starting lineup was just the cure Batang Gilas needed to get up once more in the in the 2018 FIBA Asia Under-16 Championship.
Mac Guadana came up big in his first start in the tournament and Kai Sotto returned to towering over the competition as the Filipinos dropped a 42-point hammer on Hong Kong, 103-61, on Thursday at the Foshan Lingnan Mingzhu Gym in China.
The Philippines and Hong Kong were duking it out in a do-or-die matchup for a place in the quarterfinals opposite Japan.
Guadana made sure they took control right from tip-off.

Their lead would never go down to single-digits the rest of the way as they cruised to a big-time win.
Guadana wound up with 10 points, but no longer had to do much in the second half.
A day after being overpowered by Australia, Sotto was back in form in this one and posted a 11-point, 12-rebound double-double.
