PBA: Beermen excited to welcome Standhardinger
"Samahang walang katulad" as they say.

Perhaps more than talent, San Miguel's current dynasty is built around chemistry.

"Samahang walang katulad" as they say.

And with the arrival of no. 1 pick Christian Standhardinger to boost an already-powerful team, the Beermen will have a problem to deal with as they integrate the Fil-German forward into the group.

A good problem.

"I think sabi ng iba, it will become a problem for our team," head coach Leo Austria said on Standhardinger.

"Sabi ko, probably, but it is a good problem for us dail sabi nga niyo, there's a lot of criticism before na I'm only using seven or eight players, especially in a very important game. Now we have two imports, from Hong Kong and US... yung rotation namin, biglang hahaba. Kung gumagamit ako ng walo, pwedeng maging sampu na," he added.

As for Standhardinger's teammates, they can't wait to welcome him on board.

Everyone, including Christian, appear to be ready to build a strong relationship.

"Welcome si Christian sa amin," team captain Arwind Santos said.

"Sana ma-adopt namin ang magandang combination na nandyan na si Christian. May tiwala naman tayo kay coach Leo at sa staff namin na sila na bahala diyan," he added.

While Standhardinger is still playing in the ABL, the Hong Kong Eastern standout is keeping tabs on his PBA team, says coach Leo.

"Si Christian Standhardinger, talagang nakikipag-communicate to some of the players and our managers," Austria said.

"And he's also excited with the team," he added.
