8:00 PM – Alab Pilipinas vs Mono Vampire
The battle to become the winningest country in the Asean Basketball League is on.
The Philippines’ Alab Pilipinas and Thailand’s Mono Vampire are all set to go all out in disputing the 2017-2018 championship in the best-of-five Finals commencing on Sunday at the Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Complex.
Game 1 of the all-Southeast Asian championship round tips off at 8:00 PM and all of the action will be on S+A, S+A HD, and livestream.
The Filipinos are favored in the matchup, having swept the Thais in their two meetings in the elimination round as well as coveted homecourt advantage.
Behind Renaldo Balkman and Justin Brownlee, they are nothing but determined to claim what would be a league-best third championship for the country.
With the same goal, however, is Thailand which is on a morale-high of its own coming off a semifinals blanking of top-seed Chong Son of China. They will lean on Sam Deguara, Mike Singletary, Filipino-American Jason Brickman, and full-blooded Filipino Paul Zamar to make that happen.
