PBA: King rewrites personal pro history in explosive game
Playing a starting role in the Dyip's Commissioner's Cup opener, King scored a career-high 30 points on 50 percent shooting.

In his first nine games in the PBA, Jerramy King scored a grand total of 26 points.

He only scored five points for Rain or Shine last season and he only droped four in the All-Filipino.

But after he was let go by the Elasto Painters and subsequently picked up by Kia, now known as Columbian Dyip, King erased his record after just one game.

Playing a starting role in the Dyip's Commissioner's Cup opener, King scored a career-high 30 points on 50 percent shooting.

King fired five triples and also had seven rebounds and four assists, leading Columbian to an impressive 126-98 over Blackwater.

"It's my best game so far in the PBA. I worked really, really hard and tonight it finally showed up. I got the opportunity and I'm pretty thankful for that," King said.

"Very happy [new team]. The style is more style, it's fast paced coach Ricky [Dandan] has a lot of confidence in me. He let me play tonight and it worked out well," he added.

As Columbian scored only its second win this season, King hopes to help the Dyip build a winning culture moving forward.

His first game was a nice start.

"I knew I could play, I'm very confident with myself. No hard feelings, I love all the guys there [ROS] but I'm happy where I am now," he said.

"I'm trying to change the culture but so is the rest of the team. It's a total team effort," King added.
