Despite stomach virus, Onuaku drops 30 on 93% shooting
Onuaku powered Meralco to its first win of the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup over Columbian, scoring 30 points on 93 percent shooting (14 of 15).

Former Best Import Arinze Onuaku hasn't been with Meralco for almost a week.

Dealing with stomach virus, he's been in and out of the hospital.

He's still sick but in his first game back in the PBA, it certainly didn't look like it.

Onuaku powered Meralco to its first win of the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup over Columbian, scoring 30 points on 93 percent shooting (14 of 15).

He also had 19 rebounds, six assists, three steals, and four blocks.

"I'm still sick but I just tried to give my team what I could today," Onuaku said.

"I was a gametime decision. I knew my guys needed me so I tried to give them what I could," he added.

Asked why he caught a virus, Arinze wasn't sure.

However, he noted that he got sick the first time he got in the country to play two years ago too.

"I'm not sure what caused it, last time it was because I drank some water. And then one time I got sick again because I ate some salad," he said.

"I don't really know but I get sick everytime I come here," Onuaku added.
