In a span of less than 30 seconds last April 22, Romeo was whistled for back-to-back double dribble violations. His third turnover was ruled as travelling.
Much like Arwind Santos for his "shadow" comments, new TNT star Terrence Romeo has been penalized for issuing statements detrimental to the league.
The PBA on Friday fined Romeo P25,000 for his comments last April 22 regarding officiating.
Following TNT's win over Globalport, Terrence mentioned that official's were practically out of this world for calling three straight turnovers on him late in the fourth quarter.
In a span of less than 30 seconds, Romeo was whistled for back-to-back double dribble violations. His third turnover was ruled as travelling.
"Siguro may nakikita yung referee na talagang nakikita niya siguro yung galing sa ibang planeta eh," Romeo said after the game.
"Hindi ko alam kung ano, so siguro next time, mag-aadjust ako, kasi ewan ko kung sang planeta siya nag-referee before, eh wala akong magagawa. Pero di bale, adjust na lang ako, sana maka-pasyal ako sa planeta nila next time," Terrence added.
