Meralco is not as physical as TNT.

According to Globalport import Malcolm White, the KaTropa are a little more punishing than the Bolts, he knows pretty much based from his own experience.

As the Batang Pier took their first win of the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup at the expense of Meralco Friday, White noted the difference between the two sister teams from the MVP group.

"This team [Meralco] is not as physical as the first team we played [TNT]. Even the big fella [Arinze Onuaku], he's strong but he's not overly physical. He's so big, he don't really need to... he's so huge man, he just uses his body to move you and score," White said.

"This game I didn't really have to [be physical]. The locals didn't really bumped me like in the first game. First game was tough man, it was a physical game," he added.

Against TNT, the physicality of the game caused a lot of skirmishes between different players. White was even called for a technical foul and his teammate Mo Tautuaa was even suspended for Friday's game for picking up two flagrant fouls.

Against the Bolts, White was able to adjust to the situation and it turn, help Globalport pick up a win.

"The last game, I was called for a tech, it was unnecessary physicality, that's not what the PBA is looking for," White said, who finished with 27 points and 17 rebounds vs. Meralco.

"I think this game I did a better job of keeping my composure and just playing through the physicality," he added.
