PBA: TNT rolls to second straight win in Commissioner's Cup
In another balanced scoring effort, five players scored in double figures for TNT a the KaTropa took control of solo lead early in the mid-season joust.

ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal --- In a game of runs, TNT's proved that more firepower could get the job done.

The KaTropa rolled to a 2-0 start in the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup Saturday at the Ynares Center here, picking up a 106-98 win over the Phoenix Fuel Masters.

In another balanced scoring effort, five players scored in double figures for TNT a the KaTropa took control of solo lead early in the mid-season joust.

Terrence Romeo was the high man for the KaTropa against Phoenix, scoring 21 points in a starting role. He also had five rebounds and six assists.

Jayson Castro also had a good game for TNT, firing 18 points to go along with five boards and seven assists. Import Jeremy Tyler had a 17-point, 14-rebound double-double while Jericho Cruz added another 14 points for the KaTropa.

"I think to day, we were decent, especially defensively," head coach Nash Racela said.

After falling behind by 11 points early in the opening period, the KaTropa clamped down on defense and recovered rather quickly, forcing a 26-all tie at the end of the first 12 minutes.

It was close until the break but TNT broke things open in the third as Troy Rosario and Romeo led the KaTropa offense to open up a 19-point lead, 81-62.

The Fuel Masters tried to make it close in the fourth but Phoenix never really cut the deficit enough to have a real chance of stealing the game away.

Import James White was the only bright spot for Phoenix's offense as he scored 32 points, 18 in the secnd half.

However, local support was a little down for the Fuel Masters this time arounf with Matthew Wright and Jason Perkins the only other players in double figures with 12 points each.
