Manuel scored a career-high 27 poins in just 18 minutes for Alaska Sunday.
Despite playing in an import-laden conference, Vic Manuel just made his case for more minutes in Alaska's rotation.
Manuel scored a career-high 27 points Sunday against Blackwater, with 15 coming in the fourth period as the Aces rolled to an impressive win over the Elite for their first victory in the 2018 Commissioner's Cup.
The Muscle Man shot 13 out of 18 from the field and he only played 18 minutes.
"Every game ready lang ako ipasok kasi nga alam ko yung playing time ko medyo limited ngayon kasi may import kami," Manuel said.
"Ready lang ako maglaro every time na ipasok ako," he added.
Head coach Alex Compton for his part, can't help but in awe of Manuel sometimes.
According to Coach Alex, Manuel is just a scorer through and through.
"You know, Vic is just a scorer. I think we’ve all seen it - he’s just got an uncanny knack for making shots," he said.
"He’s got an uncanny control of the ball, even if his body is going sideways, going against bigger guys. He was fantastic," Compton added.
