James Yap will deal with his personal problems on his own time, "Well, lagi ko naman sinasabi na pag merong mga ganyan, mga personal, kailangan pagdating dito sa Araneta, sa trabaho... kumabaga sa homecourt, iiwan mo yun sa bahay, yung problema."
James Yap is trying to maintain his game even while in the middle of yet another controversy.
Over the past week or so, Yap has been subject of the online wrath of his ex-wife Kris Aquino, the Queen of all Philippine media.
The issue has been long and complicated, this latest one also involved another high-profile personality in Korina Sanchez-Roxas.
Despite all of this, Yap has played two productive games for Rain or Shine in the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup.
Sunday against Ginebra, the former two-time MVP posted 13 points and his Elasto Painters are now 2-0 in the mid-season joust, tied for solo first.
For James, he'll deal with his personal problems on his own time.
Once he enters the basketball court, he's a basketball player and nothing else really matters.
"Kasi basketball kailangan focused talaga eh, yun yung nagdadala," he said.
