Justin Brownlee is ready to rekindle that JB32 magic with the Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings.
SANTA ROSA, Laguna -- After a successful ABL stint with Alab Pilipinas, high-scoring forward Justin Brownlee is ready to go back to the Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings.
The two-time Governors' Cup import, who all we know is very capable of making huge shots, has now set his sights back to his original team, where he has captured the hearts of the Filipino basketball faithful with repertoire of gravity-defying moves and clutch shots.
Brownlee, who finished the game one assist shy of a triple-double, recording 24 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 assists, said that he had been in communication with Ginebra coach Tim Cone, who sent his best wishes to him and the team during the five-game Finals showdown with Mono Vampire.
"He actually texted me yesterday and just wished me good luck," Brownlee said on the conversation.
The swingman had been keeping a close eye with the crowd darlings of the PBA, who had stumbled in their start to the Commissioner's Cup with a deflating 19-point loss to Rain or Shine.
"Well, they got the season going, definitely, I wanna be back in Ginebra. We’ll see how it goes."
