MANILA, Philippines --- Christian Standhardinger is ready to rock for Gilas Pilipinas in the 2018 FIBA 3x3 World Cup.
Gilas team manager Butch Antonio confirmed Thursday that the forward will play for the Philippines as the country starts group play Saturday.
In fact, Standhardinger has rejoined the team in practice earlier in the day.
"He's good to go. He's ready," Antonio said of Standhardinger.
"Syempre we just have to make sure that he's stretched well, like all our players naman," he added.
Standhardinger has been dealing with knee issues as of late, causing him to miss two games for San Miguel Beer in the PBA Commissioner's Cup.
On Wednesday, Standhardinger told reporters that he's treating his injury day by day as it's nearly impossible to move sometimes when his knee starts to swell and lock up.
Fortunately, it appears that his knee is doing well now.
Standhardinger will have an extra day of rest before Gilas, which also has Troy Rosario, RR Pogoy, and Stanley Pringle, plays Brazil and Mongolia on Saturday at the Philippine Arena.
