MANILA, Philippines --- The 2018 FIBA 3x3 World Cup is here and the women get first dibs as action starts with Day 1.

The Philippines is the lowest seed in the tournament and are in Pool D together with Spain, Germany, and two of the top 5 in Hungary (no. 3 seed) and the Netherlands (no. 4 seed).

"Wala ako masabi, they're all tough teams," head coach Pat Aquino said.

"Having the group of death in the women's division, I guess we just have to do well and prove na we belong in this kind of level," he added.

Perlas will open the World Cup against the Netherlands Friday at 2:40 p.m. before taking on Germany four hours later at 6:40 p.m.

Only the top-2 teams per group will advance in the playoffs come June 12.
