Pro basketball player Thomas Torres says he is already out of the hospital and is now recovering at home after getting stabbed outside a nightclub early morning last June 3.
Torres revealed via Twitter that he suffered from multiple stab wounds and said it will take some time before he returns to the court.
The 5’9” guard also thanked everyone who kept him in their prayers while he was in the hospital.
It’s been more than a week since the incident happened which resulted to multiple stab wounds. I am currently recovering at home and there is still no definite time when I will be able to get back on the court (1/2)— Thomas Torres (@iamthomastorres) June 12, 2018
but allow me to take this time to thank my family, relatives, friends, and supporters for your unending support, love and prayers these past few days. 🙏🏼 (2/2)— Thomas Torres (@iamthomastorres) June 12, 2018
Torres is one of the three former DLSU Green Archers who were victims of a melee outside the Early Night Bar at the Fort Strip in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
The Mandaluyong El Tigre signee in the MPBL reportedly shouldered the brunt of the attack by Edmar Lacanlale, 40, and Willard Balisi, 37, the two suspects who are now detained and are still pending investigation.
Torres was the 32nd overall pick in the 2017 draft by the Magnolia Hotshots, but was not signed.
Teng, a player for the Alaska Aces in the PBA, revealed last July 8 that he was out of the hospital and is under close observation at home.
Norbert, who sustained a long cut on his arm, was seen watching Rain or Shine's game vs Blackwater from the stands last week.
The three were all former players for De La Salle University, where they won the UAAP season 76 title together.
