FIBA: Amer added to Gilas for Australia rematch
The Philippines will keep 10 players from the group that beat Chinese Taipei by 22 points on the road last Friday.

Gilas Pilipinas is tweaking its lineup a little bit ahead of its highly-anticipated rematch against Australia.

The Philippines will keep 10 players from the group that beat Chinese Taipei by 22 points on the road last Friday.

Those 10 players are Andray Blatche, Jayson Castro, Terrence Romeo, June Mar Fajardo, Gabe Norwood, RR Pogoy, Troy Rosario, Matthew Wright, Calvin Abueva, and Japeth Aguilar.

Point guard Baser Amer and forward Carl Bryan Cruz will complete the team against the Boomers, replacing Jio Jalalon and Allein Maliksi. Head coach Chot Reyes decided on the change Sunday.

Gilas Pilipinas sports a 4-1 record, the same as Australia, heading into the Monday clash at the Philippine Arena.

The rematch from last February, which the Boomers won in Melbourne, will be for first place in Group B.
