FIBA: Gilas out for revenge against tough Boomers
Gilas Pilipinas will enter with a strong 4-1 record, with the only blemish being a beating at tha hands of the Australians in Melbourne.

Thanks to recent developments, the Philippines-Australia rematch in the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers just got more interesting.

The Monday clash, set to tip off at 7:30 p.m. from the Philippine Arena, will be for first place in Group B.

Gilas Pilipinas will enter with a strong 4-1 record, with the only blemish being a beating at tha hands of the Australians in Melbourne.

The Boomers will also enter with a 4-1 mark, suffering a monumental upset against the Japanese last week in Tokyo.

Australia should be eager to bounce back from that defeat and the team's lineup still does feature actual NBA talent in Matthew Dellavedova and Thon Maker of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Meanwhile, Gilas Pilipinas will have old reliables Andray Blatche, Jayson Castro, June Mar Fajardo, and Terrence Romeo on deck.
