MANILA, Philippines --- RR Pogoy, one of the very first players involved in the unfortunate Gilas-Boomers brawl, would like to move on already from the incident.

Monday at the Philippine Arena in the Philippines-Australia game in the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifers, a free for all erupted as both teams failed to keep their boiling emotions in check.

It all started when Pogoy shoved Chris Goulding to the floor as a second motion after a foul. Australia's Daniel Kickert then elbowed Pogoy to the facing, knocking the Pinoy to the floor.

After that, all hell broke loose as Gilas cleared its bench and started going after the Australians.

What transpired was an unfortunate fistfight that ended up with 13 players ejected from both teams.

Pogoy admitted he just lost it.

"Tao lang din tayo, napuno di ako," Pogoy said Tuesday during a private team dinner for the national team.

"Humihingi kami ng sorry sa lahat ng fans ng Gilas tsaka sa fans din ng Australia. Move on na lang tayo. Nagpapasalamat ako sa teammates ko, totoo silang teammate, di nila ako iniwan," he added.

Pogoy also posted a statement on Twitter, saying the whole incident taught him a valuable lesson.
