Muntinlupa is again alone atop the leaderboard of the 2018 MPBL Anta-Datu Cup
Muntinlupa had no problems whatsoever as it reclaimed the solo lead in the 2018 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Anta-Datu Cup.
Allan Mangahas led three other teammates in double-digits as the Cagers made quick work of Zamboanga, 85-69, last Wednesday at the Marist Gym in Marikina.
Mangahas scored 19 points to go along with nine assists, five rebounds, and two steals all while fronting Muntinlupa’s mighty first half that saw them mount a 19-point advantage.
The Valientes got into their groove in the third quarter, but by then, it was too late.
Chito Jaime and Reggie Boy Basibas also added 14 and 12 points, respectively, for the Cagers who remain undefeated after three games.
Zamboanga was led by Reed Juntilla who had 11 points to his name.
In the day’s other game, visiting Imus frustrated home team Marikina, 72-71.
Mark Anthony Guillen came up big in the Bandera’s first win with 20 points and eight rebounds.
Erwin Sta. Maria topped the scoring column for the Shoemasters with 17 points. After a season-opening win, they have now dropped back-to-back games.
