La Salle has gotten its first taste of defeat in the Taiwan tourney they're seeing action in
A questionable call has put the first blemish on the erstwhile immaculate record of De La Salle University, the defending champions in the 2018 BLIA University Cup.
Just one free throw proved to be the difference for Jianxing University of Science and Technology as they downed the Green Archers, 87-86, on Thursday (Philippine time) at the Kaohsiung Arena in Taiwan
The two teams were tied at 86-all with 6.4 ticks to go on the clock before Jollo Go was called for a reach-in foul on Gao Chengen.

However, replay reviews showed that Go was trying to get hold of the ball which Gao seemed to lose possession of.
Nonetheless, Gao was awarded a couple of charities, the first one of which he made and the second one of which he intentionally missed.
That missed free throw and the ensuing rebounding sequence then ate up the 1.5 seconds remaining.
That questionable call put to waste Justine Baltazar’s mighty double-double effort of 22 points and 13 rebounds to go along with two blocks and two steals.
That questionable call also puts the Green Archers in a must-win situation against USA’s Asusa on Friday.
