FIBA WORLD CUP: Chot gets 1-game suspension and hefty fine
Reyes, who is the head coach for Gilas, is only suspended one game but he's forced to pay a CHF 10,000, or more than P535,000, fine "for inciting unsportsmanlike behavior."

Aside from players, Gilas team officials were not spared from the suspensions handed out by FIBA Thursday for the ugly Philippines-Australia brawl three weeks ago.

Ten Gilas players were suspended by FIBA with Calvin Abueva taking the heavy hit as he's out for six games.

Joining the players with sanctions are coaches Chot Reyes and Jong Uichico.

Uichico, who was caught throwing punches despite being outside the court, will serve a three-game suspension from FIBA.
