Mandaluyong and Bataan are intertwined for the second spot in the standings of the Northern Division
Ray Parks Jr. and Mandaluyong are still rolling in the 2018 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Anta-Datu Cup.
Parks Jr. stuffed the stat sheet anew while Gian Abrigo posted a double-double as the El Tigre triumphed over very game Navotas, 59-55, last Wednesday at the Bataan People’s Center.
The Asean Basketball League champion and MVP had 19 points, eight rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block to his name, leading Manda to its third consecutive victory following a season-opening defeat.
It was also Parks Jr. who scored the go-ahead basket that put his team ahead for good.
Abrigo pounded in 10 points and 13 rebounds to help the El Tigre forge a two-way tie for the second spot in the Northern Division.
For the 2-2 Clutch, Monbert Arong topped the scoring column with 12 points.
Also now on a three-game winning streak is Bataan which fended off hard-charging General Santos, 62-58.
Pamboy Raymundo wound up with 12 points, including the free throws that finalized the home team’s rise to 3-1.
Chis Masaclang paced the 1-3 Warriors with 15 points.
