MACAU --- Gilas Pilipinas fate following the ugly brawl with Australia has been decided.

In an official decision Thursday, FIBA is suspending 10 players and two coaches from the Philippines.

The list of suspended Pinoys is long and full of big names but one notable star that escaped punishment was Blackwater's Allein Maliksi.

Maliksi, who was not in the active Gilas lineup against the Boomers three weeks ago, got involved in the brawl but he escaped sanctions from FIBA.

Allein is with the Elite in Macau for the Super 8 tournament and when ABS-CBN Sports notified Maliksi of FIBA's ruling and asked for his thoughts, the veteran gunner politely declined as he's following national team protocol.

"I can't comment about that issue anymore," Maliksi said Thursday right after Blackwater beat Rizing Zephyr Fukuoka of Japan at the East Asian Games Dome here.

"Kasi syempre pinagsabihan na kami na if there's any more questions and interviews, parang pabayaan na lang namin yung issue," he added.

Maliksi says that Gilas deeply regrets what happened against the Boomers and the team is trying to move on from the incident already.

And part of that is not talking about it anymore.

"We're trying to move on na, all players and coaching staff regret na it happened," Maliksi said.
