MACAU --- NLEX's Puso comes through.

Thanks to a brave comeback Thursday agains Xinjiang at the East Asian Games Dome here, the Road Warriors will advance to the semifinals of the Summer Super 8 tournament.

NLEX erased a 17-point deficit to beat the Flying Tigers, 88-78. The Road Warriors will be the no. 2 team in Group A behind the undefeated Etland Elephants from South Korea who earlier beat the Formosa Dreamers, 87-52.

In Group B, things got a little messy as the Guangzhou Long Lions, the Samsung Thunders, and the Blackwater Elite all finished with identical 2-1 records.

Blackwater beat Rizing Zephyr Fukuoka, 90-66, to make its case for the semis.

However, the Elite missed out after the Thunders pulled out a 78-73 victory over the Long Lions. After quotients. Guangzhou takes first place in Group B followed by Samsung.

The Super 8 will take a break Friday before the semifinals set on Saturday.
