Makati is still rolling in the earlygoing of the season
Makati forced its way to a tie for the second spot in Northern Division of the 2018 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League after surviving very game Davao Occidental, 79-77, last Thursday in Binan’s Alonte Arena.
The reserves did the heavy lifting for the Skyscrapers in their third win in four games.
Cedrick Ablaza led the way with 22 points while Philip Paniamogan and Jeckster Apinan also added 16 and 13 markers, respectively.
For the Tigers, Billy Ray Robles topped the scoring column with 19 points. They dropped to 2-2 with the loss.
In the day’s other game, Alvin Vitug, at long last, won for Rizal its first game, 80-79, at the expense of home team Laguna.
Trailing by one with 4.9 ticks to go, the Crusaders went to Vitug who then made good on the floater that pushed the Crusaders to win number one following three losses in a row. He wound up with 21 points.
Denok Miranda paced the 2-2 Heroes with 19 points.
