Manila had for itself a really rare 29-0 start to the game against Cebu
Manila was merciless in the first 12 minutes of its matchup against Cebu in the 2018 Maharlika Pilipinas Anta-Datu Cup.
Holding their opponents scoreless until the 9:05 mark of the second quarter, the Stars resoundingly registered a 107-76 rout of the Sharks last Tuesday at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay.
Reil Cervantes and Aris Dionisio both had 19 points while Adrian Celada scored 14 markers of his own as Manila was never threatened en route to its third win in four games.
On the other hand, a scoreless start, coupled with a defense that allowed the most points scored by a team in league history, doomed Cebu into remaining winless in four tries.
Meanwhile, Mikee Reyes showed the way as Bacoor rallied by home team Pasay, 90-86.
The former University of the Philippines star and current S+A broadcaster tallied 17 points, 10 assists, and five rebounds to make sure the Strikers evened their record to 2-2.
