NLEX and Blackwater represented the Philippines well in the recently-concluded Summer Super 8 tournament in Macau.
However, individual players from both the Road Warriors and the Elite likewise shined in the week-long joust, making it to the top 5 in three of the major individual categories.
Blackwater's Raymar Jose emerged as the top Pinoy scorer in Macau, norming 14.3 points per game, good enough for fourth overall.
The Elite rookie was behind former Phoenix Fuel Masters import Lee Gwan Hee who topped all scorers with 22.4 points for the Samsung Thunders. Tournament MVP Ju Mingxin of Guangzhou was second with 20 points per game while Xinjiang's Sun Tonglin is third with 18 points per outing.
In rebounding, Blackwater ace JP Erram came in fourth with 7.7 boards per outing, good for fourth behind Fukuoka's Kazuya Hatano (11.3 rebounds), Guangzhou's Guo Kai (10.2 rebounds), and Lee Gwan Hee of Samsung (7.8 rebounds).
The assists department is where Pinoys shined the most as three players made it to the top 5 led by Roi Sumang for second place with 4.7 dimes per outing.
John Pinto was fourth with 4.0 assists per game while Mac Tallo was fifth with an average 3.8 assists.
