Clarkson gets clearance to play in Asian Games
Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas President Al Panlilio, via Dyan Castillejo of ABS-CBN News, confirmed that Jordan has secured eligibility from the INASGOC (Indonesia Asian Games Organizing Committee) to play in the Asian Games next week.

Jordan Clarkson is one step closer to actually playing for Gilas Pilipinas.

Clarkson made the final 12 of the Asian Games Friday following an announcement from head coach Yeng Guiao.

Shortly afterwards, Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas President Al Panlilio, via Dyan Castillejo of ABS-CBN News, confirmed that Jordan has secured eligibility from the INASGOC (Indonesia Asian Games Organizing Committee) to play in the Asian Games next week.

Now, the Clarkson only needs an NBA clearance to be ready to go for Gilas. Jordan already has a go signal from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

With no clear updates from the Asian Games committe yet, Gilas went ahead and saved a roster spot for Clarkson just in case and cut Don Trollano from the team in the process.

The national team is set to leave for Indonesia on Sunday and their first game in the Asian Games is set on August 16.
