"My desire and ambition to play with my countrymen in the future remains resolute and I am adaman that this dream will come true," --- Jordan Clarkson.
Like most people, Jordan Clarkson is rather disappointed that he's not going to make Gilas Pilipinas, again.
Sunday before the national team headed to Indonesia for the 2018 Asian Games, the NBA handed out its decision regarding Clarkson's participation in the quadrennial event.
It was a negative.
After the stream of disappointment that decision received over the next 24 hours, Clarkson himself has broken his silence via a post on his social media account.
"I am terribly disappointed to say that I have not received the required consent to participate in the upcoming Asian Games with out national team," Clarkson wrote.
"Although I will not be there in person, I will be with my Gilas teammates in heart and spirit," he added.
Gilas left a spot open for Clarkson just in case he gets eligibility and approval to compete in Indonesia.
But after a wild weekend, the Cleveland Cavalier will miss making the Philippine team once again.
Despite this, Clarkson maintains his desire to play for Gilas in the future though time will tell if he actually makes it.
"My desire and ambition to play with my countrymen in the future remains resolute and I am adaman that this dream will come true," Clarkson said.
