Laguna and Davao Occidental scored separate bounce back wins
Jai Reyes turned in his best game as Laguna took a much-needed bounce back win in the 2018 Maharlika Pilipinas Anta-Datu Cup.
Reyes scored a season-high 21 points to propel the Heroes past visiting Paranaque, 76-52, in the middle of their home floor at the Alonte Sports Arena in Binan, Laguna.
The former Ateneo de Manila University floor leader also added nine rebounds and two assists to make sure the home team returned to the win column now at 3-4.
Ryusei Koga paced the Patriots with 11 points. They dropped to 4-3 with the loss.
Meanwhile, Davao Occidental also barged back into the winners’ circle at the expense of Pampanga, 82-77.
Bonbon Custodio was the star with 24 points, six rebounds, and six assists for the now 4-3 Tigers.
For the Lanterns, Michael Juico showed the way with a 26-point, 10-rebound double-double. With another defeat, they fell to 3-4 in the standings.
