June Mar Fajardo was seen wearing a walking boot to prevent aggravating the injury.
It will be a difficult stretch for June Mar Fajardo as he watches his San Miguel teammates and PBA peers get the call for national team duty for the fourth window of the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.
Even though he was spared from suspension from the infamous brawl in Bocaue, he could not save himself from injury, a crushing blow to his spirit.
As doctors barred him from any basketball activity for 6-8 weeks due to his fractured shin, he could only watch his guys on television.
"Sayang. Kasi magthird window na diba? (Second round). Sayang hindi ako makakalaro. Mami-miss, maa-out ako sa third window. Pero wala akong magagawa doon kasi hinid ko pwedeng ipilit eh. Yun ang advice ng doctor."
The reigning four-time MVP watched his team get their first win and number one pick Christian Standhardinger net a career-high 36 points, even after getting late as the forward came from the airport.
Fajardo was also seen wearing a walking boot to prevent aggravating the injury.

Fajardo shared how he suffered the injury, which he sustained in the late stages of the Philippine Cup eliminations, and got aggravated over time.
His shin got kicked in one of the games, which in turn got swollen.
"Parang namaga lang sya. Nabugbog. Tapos nilalaro ko lang. Tuloy-tuloy pa rin yung laro ko. Parang nagbe-bend yung maga. Ano tawag doon? Yung bugbog. Doon sya nag-start. Tapos nung nag-finals kami nung All Filipino. Sumasakit na siya. Nagpe-pain killer na ako," Fajardo said.
The 6'10 center added that he felt a sharp pain in the area but could not get an x-ray since the games were every other day and he cannot afford to miss practice.
"Tapos nung after nung Alaska [series], pinahinga ko one week. Then nung nag-TNT kami, after nung TNT, pinahinga ko ulit almost one week bago magFinals. Doon na. Nag-finals kami. Every game, nagpe-pain killer ako. Yun na pagka-xray ko. Biglang nakita," Fajardo then showed an x-ray image of his shin that showed a fracture.
Fajardo then clarified that he had started core exercises and will eventually ease in training his legs.
"Sabi ng doctor. 6-8 weeks e. Kasi fracture. Mahirap. Mahirap. Kailangan kong sundin yung payo ng doktor. Mahirap kasi nasa buto eh."
