Allan Mangahas and Gab Banal both came away with triple-doubles - but only Mangahas came away with a win
Allan Mangahas did anything and everything to make sure Muntinlupa remained the lone undefeated team in the 2018 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Anta-Datu Cup.
The do-it-all guard fired 22 points on top of 12 assists and 12 rebounds as the Cagers made quick work of Bacoor, 97-83, last Tuesday at the Imus Sports Complex.
Mangahas was flanked by Chito Jaime who had 21 points and eight rebounds and Dave Moralde who had 19 markers and six assists as they won their sixth game in a row to start the season.
With Mangahas, Jaime, and Moralde all doing their part, Muntinlupa overcame Gab Banal’s own triple-double game for the Strikers.
Banal had 24 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 rebounds, but all of it wasn’t enough as Bacoor fell to 4-4.
In the day’s other game, Imus sent its home crowd happy by routing Cebu, 90-61.
Genmar Bragais showed the way with seven points, eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals for the now 4-3 Bandera.
The Sharks dropped their seventh game out of eight.
