There will be two Korean Basketball League teams competing in the Terrific 12 tournament next week.
The first is the Seoul Samsung Thunders featuring former Phoenix Fuel Masters import Lee Gwan Hee and former La Salle star Ben Mbala.
The other is the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus, the winningest team in the KBL with six championships.
Mobis Phoebus will feature familiar names too though Filipinos have bitter memories associated with them.
Former Star import Ricardo Ratliffe (Ra Gunah) returns to Mobis Phoebus, his first KBL team, to play in the Terrific 12.
Of course, Ratliffe just recently won a bronze medal in the 2018 Asian Games, eliminating Gilas Pilipinas along the way. He scored 30 points in that win over the Philippines.
The other familiar name is TJ Moon, the former shooter for the Korean national team that also has some history against Gilas Pilipinas.
Moon scored 38 points against Gilas in the quarterfinals of the 2014 Asian Games, leading South Korea to a sensational 97-95 victory over the Philippines.
That win essentially eliminated Gilas who later finished with a disappointing 7th place while Moon and the rest of the Koreans ended up taking the gold medal.
