MACAU --- iECO is bringing in backup in order to save its Terrific 12 campaign.

Three and a half minutes into their eventual loss Tuesday to Japan's Ryukyu Golden Kings, Green Warriors import Richard Howell hurt his left knee.

Howell was going for a block in transition when he slipped and sustained his injury. He was taken out via stretcher and never returned to the game.

Wednesday over breakfast, iECO head coach Ariel Vanguardia said that Howell is officially out of the Terrific 12 because of his injury.

Fortunately, Howell didn't suffer any tears and instead he's just dealing with a hyperextended left knee and severe sprain on his left ankle.

As a replacement, the Green Warriors are set to bring in Tiras Wade to play against the Xinjiang Flying Tigers Thursday.

Wade was originally supposed to replace Sam Logwood, iECO's other import who suffered food poisoning days before the Terrfic 12.

Wade, who is based in Guangzhou, was a former PBA import for Talk 'N Text just like Howell.
