CHAMPIONS CUP: Bolts open title bid vs. Mono Vampire
San Miguel Beer was originally seeded in the tournament after winning the 2018 Philippine Cup but the Bolts have taken over instead and Meralco is carrying its 2018 Governors' Cup team that has reigning two-time PBA Best Import Allen Durham.

Meralco's 2018 FIBA Asia Champions Cup journey starts Thursday.

The Bolts, representing the PBA, will take on host Thailand's Mono Vampire to kick off group play in FIBA Asia's premier club-to-club competition.

San Miguel Beer was originally seeded in the tournament after winning the 2018 Philippine Cup but the Bolts have taken over instead and Meralco is carrying its 2018 Governors' Cup team that has reigning two-time PBA Best Import Allen Durham.

For good measure, the Bolts have added Liam McMorrow as a second import. However, in the tournament's official FIBA website, Diamond Louis Stone appears to be Meralco's third import listed for the Champions Cup.

Regardless, Meralco will play Mono Vampire at Stadium 29 at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
