The 3x3 Golden League Manila has been moved to October 26 to 28 following the postponement of games due to super typhoon Ompong.
Tournament commissioner Allan Caidic said the 3x3 Golden League Manila will be held at the historic Dumlao Sports Center in Mandaluyong City from October 26 to 27, with the playoffs and finals to be held on October 28 at the Circuit Makati.
The Dumlao Sports Center is one of the first basketball gyms that was built in Metro Manila, while the brand-new Circuit Makati is one of the finest malls in the area.
The 3x3 Golden League Manila was originally slated on September 13 to 15, but organizers postponed the tournament for the safety of the participants and officials.
“We decided to postpone the tournament on a later date for the safety of not just the players who will be competing but also our technical officials and even fans. Their safety is our top priority,” said Caidic.
Caidic also added the moving of the date will also give the participants time to prepare for the tournament as slots are still open of those interested to join. There will be a maximum of 128 teams participating in the tournament.
“We encourage everyone especially from the countryside to join the tournament. This is a great opportunity for them to showcase their talents in a 3x3 setting,” Caidic said.
