After managing to steal a semifinal slot, a rejuvenated Meralco team reignites its title run in the 2018 FIBA-Asia Champions Cup.

The Bolts squeezed themselves in to the next round Saturday by dethroning Al Riyadi of Lebanon.

Despite striking out in its first two games in Nonthaburi, Meralco needed to beat Al Riyadi by at least 11 points to advance.

The Bolts won by 33.

Meralco thus joined Japanese B.League champion Alvark Tokyo to the semis from group B and the Bolts will now face Iran's Petrochimi for a shot at gold.

Petrochimi easily swept Group A with a 3-0 mark.

The Bolts will face off against Petrochimi Monday at 7:00 p.m. in Stadium 29.
