The internet is a wild place.
Make that especially wild if you happen to be a public figure, a celebrity of some sort, an icon in Pinoy popular culture so ingrained in Filipinos' psyche that one small moment can catapult you into tons of internet memes and onto people's screens.
Such is the case of Boy Abunda, the King of Talk, a veteran host and is considered as one of Filipino television's gems.
What started out as a rather pedestrian interview with teen celebrity Grae Fernandez, son of action star Mark Anthony ended with Tito Boy giving the younger Fernandez a basketball as a Christmas gift.
The veteran host then immediately showed off his handles --replete with a low and wide stance-- that would eventually spawn all sorts of hilarious memes online.
Memes such as this video, which has already garnered over four million views on Facebook, that shows Tito Boy wearing a Gilas Pilipinas jersey dunking all over Ricky Rubio and the Utah Jazz, taking off from the free throw line ala Michael Jordan:
Here's one depicting Tito Boy as he crosses up Chris Paul:
Some memes even crossed Abunda over to anime territory, putting the host in the hit anime 'Kuroko No Basket', all to hilarious results:
Tonight With Boy Abunda's official Twitter and Instagram accounts even joined in, mashing up his name to other popular NBA players and making him a cover of NBA 2K19:

In case you were wondering, yes, the memes have reached the King of Talk himself, and has reacted in stride, even thanking the people behind the memes.
