Ginebra hero Justin Brownlee proved to be a force wherever he may be as Mighty Sports-Pilipinas powered right through American University Dubai, 87-58, on Friday night (Philippine time) at the Shabab-Al Ahli Club in Dubai.
Brownlee was clear cut above the competition, scoring 17 points to go along with six rebounds to show the Philippines the way to a big-time beginning in the 2019 Dubai International Basketball Tournament.
Fellow reinforcement Randolph Morris and Filipino-American stud Jeremiah Gray also added 14 and 15 points, respectively.
The Filipinos also got much-welcome contributions from two-time NBA champion Lamar Odom who had four points, seven rebounds, and two assists as well as from the University of the Philippines products Juan Gomez de Liano and Jett Manuel who merged for 16 markers, three boards, and two dimes.
Mighty-Pilipinas goes for back-to-back wins up against the United Arab Emirates national team on Saturday night (Philippine time).
