Alab Pilipinas has been on a five-game roll in the 2018-2019 Asean Basketball League – and as if they needed it, got a big-time boost with the return of Ray Parks Jr.
Parks Jr. turned in his most complete game thus far while the Puerto Rican pair of PJ Ramos and Renaldo Balkman kept doing damage as the Filipinos gave a rude welcome to visiting Saigon via a 111-87 victory on Sunday at the Lapu-Lapu Sports Complex in Cebu.
The back-to-back Local MVP has missed the last four games due to a facial injury and finally took the floor once more in this one.
Right from the get-go, Parks Jr. looked like he didn’t skip a beat and wound up with 23 points, seven rebounds, and two assists.
Ramos and Balkman were only willing to join in on the fun themselves with the former finishing with 30 points, 18 rebounds, and four assists and the latter ending with 29 markers, seven boards, and five dimes.
With its three big guns firing on all cylinders, the Philippines breezed to a sixth straight win and 11th overall in 13 games.
The three also made sure their record at home remains immaculate.
