Mighty Sports-Pilipinas was forced to settle for a finish just right outside the Finals of the 2019 Dubai International Basketball Tournament.

Still, the Filipinos were nothing but happy to celebrate the country’s best showing in the tourney, which they formalized with a well-earned 91-76 win against Lebanese champion Homentmen on Saturday (Philippine time) at the Shabab-Al Ahli Club in Dubai.

With that, the Philippines triumphed in the battle for third.

As always, Justin Brownlee was at the forefront of the attack.

The result of this one isn’t much different from the last time the two teams met. Mighty-Pilipinas also topped Homentmen in the elimination round.

This bronze is the first medal the Philippines has gotten in the 30-year history of the Dubai International.
