Kobe Paras yet again showed off his hops to win the Slam Dunk Contest in the first leg of the 2019 Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3
The runway at the SM Megamall Events Center in Mandaluyong was cleared for takeoff on Saturday.
That’s exactly what Kobe Paras did as he got off the ground and then flew the highest in the 2019 Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 Slam Dunk Contest.
Ok The hyper-athletic University of the Philippines forward had three dunks – two in the preliminary round and one in the Finals. In all of them, he had people looking up at him.
First, he jumped over both Yankie Haruna and Daniel Chatman.
He had for himself an encore in Round 2 where he yet again flew over the heads of Haruna and Chatman.
Paras saved the best for last, however, and in the Finals, leapt over four game officials who were bent over before finishing a thunderous throwdown.
That was more than enough to best National University’s Chatman who opened everybody’s eyes with his aerial acrobatics.
This, despite standing at only 5-foot-11.
Also competing were NCAA All-Star Slam Dunk champion Haruna who put these on for show:
as well as Marinerong Pilipino swingman Mike Ayonayon who boasted this highlight:
