FIBA: Thirdy Ravena makes Gilas 12 for Qatar game
Gilas is faced with a must-win situation against Qatar and also against Kazakhstan later this week. The Philippines is sitting at fourth place in Group F with an even 5-5 record.

Thirdy takes flight for Gilas.

Ravena, the UAAP Season 81 Finals MVP for Ateneo de Manila, is in the final 12 for Gilas Pilipinas in the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers against Qatar set for Feb. 21st in Doha (Feb. 22nd in Manila).

The Philippines announced its lineup Tuesday and the rest of the team aside from Thirdy include veterans Andray Blatche, Jayson Castro, Gabe Norwood, and June Mar Fajardo as first reported by Charmie Lising from Qatar.

Also in Gilas’ final 12 are Japeth Aguilar, Troy Rosario, Paul Lee, Marcio Lassiter, Scottie Thompson, Poy Erram, Mark Barroca.

Raymond Almazan is sitting out the Qatar game due to an unfortunate ankle injury while RR Pogoy is serving out the last of his five-game suspension from FIBA.
