Now on its 12th year, the National Basketball Training Center just keeps on getting better and bigger.
This year, the NBTC’s annual National Finals will feature 26 local teams from a record 105 cities in the Philippines as well as six squads from overseas, also a historic mark.
Nazareth School of National University will defend its title against Manila heavyweights such as Mapua High School and San Beda High School as well as provincial powerhouses like Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu.
Alongside them will be international teams, four of which are returnees hailing from Australia, New Zealand, USA, and Toronto in Canada.
Two foreign crews coming from Vancouver in Canada and Italy make their debuts in the annual tournament set to run from March 18 to 24.
A year ago, Filipino-American Jalen Green, the top-rated recruit for the 2020 Class of the US NCAA, opened eyes in the NBTC while playing for Fil-Am Sports USA and then later on playing in the All-Star Game.
