Renaldo Balkman had his way against Mono
With Sam Deguara donning different colors and Romeo Travis donning street clothes on Saturday, Renaldo Balkman found no match inside the Stadium 29 in Bangkok.
Pounding in 31 points, Balkman powered Alab Pilipinas to a 78-59 blowout triumph over home team Mono now in the stretch run of the 2018-2019 Asean Basketball League.
The Puerto Rican reinforcement also poured in six rebounds, four steals, and two assists as the Filipinos scored their third consecutive victory and 16th overall in 19 games.
Fellow import PJ Ramos also posted a dominant 16-point, 19-rebound double-double to go along with seven assists while back-to-back Local MVP put forth an all-around stat line of nine markers, six boards, five dimes, and two steals.
The Philippines did nothing but exploit the fact that the Thais no longer had Deguara standing tall and had Travis sidelined by injury. With that, the former made a living on the paint where they dominated the latter, 52-22.
