And still, Alab Pilipinas is yet to lose back-to-back games in the 2018-2019 Asean Basketball League.
Renaldo Balkman and PJ Ramos got back to their groove just as Ray Parks Jr. stuffed the stat sheet anew as the Filipinos fought off home team Singapore, 80-70, on Sunday at the OCBC Arena.
Balkman and Ramos both had strong showings with the former finishing with 28 points, eight rebounds, and six assists and the latter ending with a 22-marker, 17-board double-double.
With the two having their way all over the court, the Philippines rebounded from their worst loss in the season just four days ago.
More than those two, however, they used total team effort with six different players getting together in a killer 24-9 run in the third quarter that erased a three-point deficit, 43-46, and erected a 67-55 advantage.
The Slingers would still threaten at 66-71 in the final frame, but Ramos and Ethan Alvano wasted no time in turning them away once and for all.
Flanking Alab’s reinforcements were Parks Jr. who had six points, seven rebounds, and four assists and Alvano who had seven markers, four boards, and two dimes. Lo Domingo also had 12 points and five rebounds as they improved to 17-4.
